Optionality AI is a platform designed to help private equity, M&A and financing advisors streamline their workflows with AI-powered tools. It enables users to quickly generate business valuations, benchmarking analysis, deal documents and strategic deliverables.
Project Overview
The company was looking for a complete redesign of the interface that would not only improve the look and feel, but also address pain points of the product in the 8-week spam.
UX Audit
We audited the product and interviewed the CEO to gather known user pain points and identify opportunities. We organized our audit so that the entire company was aware of the issues facing the product that we should prioritize.
Design Roadmap
To meet a tight deadline, we recommended using style overrides on existing design system components to accelerate development. We resolved issues with navigation, usability, and search optimization, while delivering a modern interface that meets the expectations of CEOs, consultants, and accountants.
Solutions
Since most CEOs are often focused on high-level strategic decisions, the benchmark analysis has been redesigned to provide better contextualized data visualization for all stakeholders.
To enhance the analysis and provide a comprehensive overview of the pitchbook, we introduced the AI Copilot as a supporting tool.
To enable executives to share selected information with various stakeholders, we introduced navigation and export settings for client reports throughout the application.

We adapted a compelling design system that tells the client’s vision and connects with their audience thorugh impactful visuals and clear messaging.
